What’s New with the 2022 Subaru Outback?

October 15th, 2021 by

For decades, families around Akron have chosen the Outback to get them around town safely and in style. The 2022 Subaru Outback continues this tradition. It continues to do everything you have come to expect from a Subaru, like coming standard with Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, while also giving you the tools you need for modern driving.

What’s New for the 2022 Subaru Outback?

If you are someone who likes spending time in the lesser-known areas of Akron and beyond, our team is excited to show you the 2022 Subaru Outback Wilderness. With restyled fenders, thicker all-terrain tires and heavy-duty shock absorbers, this model is ready for anything. A typical Outback has a ground clearance of 8.7-inches, which is already impressive. For the Wilderness model, that number goes up to 9.5-inches for even more off-road capability.

2022 Subaru Outback Powertrain

A continuously variable transmission pairs with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine as the standard engine for the Outback. It produces 182 horsepower, which is highly satisfying and plenty for highway passing. If you do decide you want extra zip when you hit the accelerator, there is an available turbocharged 2.4-liter engine that will kick out up to 260 horsepower instead. As always, the 2022 Outback comes standard with Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive.

2022 Subaru Outback Standard Features

Highlights from the Outback’s standard list of features include cutting-edge driver aids, such as adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams and lane-keeping assist. There are even adaptive headlights found on all 2022 models. Inside the cabin, you get HD and satellite radio for all your music-listening needs. Automatic climate control, dual 7-inch touchscreens and smartphone integration with Apple CarPlay® and Android Autoâ„¢ are all standard as well.
